Going to redesign this here blog as soon as I get some spare time. I’ve been playing around with a few ideas. My sketchbook is growing as I speak.

PHP

So I’ve come into my first month of studying PHP and to be honest, it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. Even though people had said it was an easy language, I was still pretty  skeptical. Weirdly enough, it’s so similar to JAVA. In fact, most of the concepts are the same, just different syntax. 

New Years Resolutions

I often don’t like the idea of new years resolutions. One reason in part because we never really fully accomplish what we say we’re going to accomplish. I actually read a study that said people who write down a so called “new years resolution” will be less likely to actually complete it. But this year, I’ve decided to try making small goals for myself. First one up: to learn PHP and MySQL. I’m hoping this isn’t as intimidating as I’m making it out to be. I’m more of a front-end guy, so this ought to be an interesting experience.
